Such Stellar Fauna

Time for the post I remember to make every two months or so. ;) Where to begin?

Well, Stellar Fauna Studio is open now, located at Vero Beach next to my cozy little home. So far, it contains some of my favorite new pieces, including several multimedia prints, digital paintings and hand-drawn originals. Every piece you will ever see at SFStudios is an original, and in the near future you will likely see a few limited edition runs available as well. Each will be signed and numbered, with a notecard tucked inside as your certificate. I hope you will enjoy my creative expressions — I certainly have been lucky enough to have many sources of inspiration lately!

If you’re curious, feel free to send me an IM in-world. If I’m at the keyboard, I’ll be happy to ‘port ya and give you the quick tour!

That’s it – out of prims!

Check it out — Stella’s home is finally finished! A pretty little home, underwater cave and cloudy sky hangout. Love!

Friday was the first day we got to enjoy it all. Livia, Green, Major, Sunnshine, Neo… seems like everyone got to stop by for a bit that afternoon/evening. It was nice to have company for once instead of spending all my time building!

After that, Sunnshine & I headed to a little coffee shop and traded goodies, had some good gossip time & went exploring for a bit. Thanks Sunnshine, for showing me around. <3

Saturday I went shoppin’ around for new nekoishness… I just can’t get enough. You’ll see my new obsession on both Flickr & SLProfiles… a baby kitty necklace I couldn’t possibly be more in love with. New places I discovered Friday: Curious Kitties, Catnip (holy crap, wtf? that whole sim = pure awesome.), Goth1c0.

That’s all I’ve got.

The thing about starting a blog… is that you have to get used to making time TO blog. For me, that means dragging myself out of my SL world long enough to make a post!

Not that I spend all day in my virtual universe, of course, but by the time I get to put a halt to RL responsibilities I’m ready to PLAY.

Much has happened since my last post. I sorted though my inventory for the first time. Yes, the first time. Let me make this clear to new players: NEVER put this off! Don’t make the mistake I did… island-hopping around, blissfully collecting all kinds of freebies, without thinking of the glorious mess of inventory I’d have to face later. Do yourself a favor… create a system for organizing and stick with it. Empty your trash daily. You don’t even know the headache you’ll save yourself!

In other news, I have made Vero Beach my home and am truly loving it. Full of mostly Julia Hathor (LOVE) designs and spread across two corner plots… I feel very spoiled. In addition, I have already started and stopped my first job. As predicted by my good friend Alexis… I didn’t last long. I gave dancing a fair shot. I really did. I made myself excited about dressing up and begging for attention on a pixel pole for virtual perverts… well, almost excited anyway. I wanted the money. Once I was there, though, I confirmed that it is not my crowd. It doesn’t do it for me in RL, and particularly not in SL. *sigh*

Another good friend, Robert, could tell I wasn’t happy. He visited for maybe 30 seconds and quickly agreed that I was out of place. After telling me that I can and will get a job I *like*, he gave me a few bucks (an understatement) and told me that if I don’t like it… well then, I should leave. So I did!

With the L$ gift, I purchased a flowery little mailbox. Please come test it for me, you know, make sure it can receive notes. ;)

*waves hello*

Hello there! I didn’t hear you come in.
Well, you made it to StellaFauna’s little sketchbook.

Welcome! Whether you’re here because we’re SL buddies, you’re a fan of my designs or dancing, or you landed here during a boredom-induced Google search… I’m glad to have you.

Please get comfy and browse around. I’m a dedicated and curious explorer of all that SL has to offer, and I hope to fill this space with memories and bits to make you laugh, feel inspired, or leave with a new landmark to visit.

Please, leave a note to let me know you stopped by. I’d love to hear from you!
